I am a UK-born director, performer and writer. Since the spring of 2006 I have been artistic director of Sleepwalk Collective, and have worked with companies including Imploding Fictions, Zecora Ura and Dende Collective. My work, which toes the line between theatre and live-art practices, deals with questions of perception, identity and meaning. I’m interested in performance as site of excess, loss, intimacy and micro-utopic epiphany, and art as neither mirror nor hammer but as concrete object added to and in dialogue with the world. I am still working to understand what that means.
I currently live and work in Vitoria-Gasteiz in the Basque Country, Spain, where I am co-coordinator of FACTORÍA DE FUEGOS (firework factory), an organisation which works to support and promote the creation of new performance work in the city.
I live with my girl, this guy, and a cat going under too many names to list here.
